IPMon Power Monitoring

IPMon Focus:

  • Live Monitoring Pty has recently completed an installation that will help its client to monitor and modify their power usage.
  • This will mean it will comply with the urgent requirements to reduce power usage by 10% due to a critical power shortage in South Africa.

Application:

  • The IPMon server collects data from current transducers installed on the three main power phases on the feed into the plant.
  • The sensor data is stored in a MS SQL database.
  • If the data exceeds a custom client set threshold then alerts are generated and sent via email\SMS to the contacts that have been set as per a schedule i.e. current above 1000 Amps send SMS alert or if current = 0 alert to power failure.
